"Infusing CBD through the skin with microneedling helps to turn off acne. CBD is a potent anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial agent and I have been so impressed with what it has done to improve cystic acne, the type people need to go on Accutane for. It has worked well for hormonal acne, stress acne, and now Maskne.”
Microneedling protocol
Topical Numbing Recommended. Thoroughly clean off numbing prior to the procedure. During the treatment: 0.5 - 1.0ml of 3000mg Topical should be applied. If treating active acne, first pass should be at 1.0mm depth. Second pass to be at 1.5mm depth over active acne. Areas with acne scarring (no present acne) can be treated up to a depth of 2.0 - 2.5mm. After the treatment: 0.5 - 1.5ml to be applied topically as the transdermal pathways are open for up to 15 minutes post-treatment. Avoid use of acne treating products for at least 1 week post-treatment. A gentle cleanser is to be used in the AM and PM, and immediately followed with a thin layer of the Unflavored CBD oil.
Additional tips
- When treating active acne, at least 2 treatments should be performed and spaced 3 weeks apart.
- 400mg CBD sublingually 15 - 30 minutes prior to a procedure helps to reduce the treatment anxiety and post-procedure inflammation.
- CBD oil can be used in combination with PRF/PRP, a neurotoxin, and/or HA filler for it's anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-aging, and anti-cancer components. It is recommended to apply in alternate drops instead of mix directly with other products.
